Fluid Audio FX50 5-Inch Coaxial Active Powered Recording Studio Monitor
YOUR BEST SOURCE FOR PRO AUDIO GEAR. Fluid Audio FX50 5-Inch Coaxial Active Powered Recording Studio Monitor. Introducing our new FX series of coaxial studio monitors. Keeping true to the original “keyhole” design, the FX enclosure has been updated with a complex radius front baffle, which not only looks pretty cool, it improves cabinet defraction. Mounted in the center of the woofer is a 25mm silk dome tweeter in a coaxial configuration. Using this technology (unique in its price range) makes it a “point source” device, meaning that all the sound emanates from a single point – not points that are 10 apart. This is crucial for improving off-axis response, but also allows for a more compact footprint cabinet. Boundary compensation DIP switches. Sometimes the spaces where we mix aren’t the most forgiving acoustically (especially if you’re in a home studio). The FX series monitors come equipped with boundary control EQ switches, that allow you to compensate for spaces that may not have been “tuned” or just need to be adjusted due to their proximity to the wall behind them. There is also a guide conveniently printed on the rear panel to show how the DIP switches work, and a more detailed explanation in the user guide. Class D and DSP powered. Another update from the Fader Series is Class-D amplification. More clean, reliable power, more headroom, and also a standalone powerful DSP integration. The digitally controlled crossover makes each speaker more consistent. The new FX series is truly a 21st Century reference monitor at home in any recording studio. LED indicator on front baffle. The illuminated LED on the front panel is not only a status indicator, displaying whether the FX monitor is on, off or in standby, but also acts as an alignment beacon which allows you to properly align your speakers to your ear level. Front-loaded slot port design. The bass-reflex slot port tunes the cabinet to maximize the bass output efficiency of the speaker. It is placed on the front panel not only to directly radiate the bass energy towards the listener, but also for flexibility of placement in your studio. Updated Tweeter Grille protection. The FX coax design, with the tweeter suspended in the middle of the woofer. As such, it provides outstanding protection for the woofer itself. However, the tweeter needs protection as well, this is why we added a small, steel perforated grille to protect the delicate silk diaphragm of the tweeter. It’s one thing to put high quality speaker drivers in a cabinet with an amplifier and call it a great speaker. But for a transparent reference monitor, that is only the beginning. Painstaking crossover design and listening sessions were undertaken to optimize not only a flat on-axis frequency response, but a depth of soundstage that has become the hallmark of Fluid Audio monitors. This ensures that your mix will not only sound great on your FX speakers, but will translate to speaker systems outside the studio as well. Frequency response: 49Hz – 22KHz (+/- 3db). Crossover frequency: 2.9KHz. Low-frequency amplifier power: 50 watts. High-frequency amplifier power: 40 watts. Signal-to-noise: 89dB (typical A-weighted). Polarity: Positive signal at + input produces outward LF one displacement. Input impedance: 20 k ohms balanced, 10 k ohms unbalanced. Power: 100V – 240V50/60 Hz. Protection: RF interference, output current limiting, over temperature, turn-on/off transient, subsonic filter, external mains fuse. Size (single monitor): 9.216.939.0 / 234mm x 176mm x 230mm. Weight (each): 8.15lbs / 3.8kg. System Type: Active Studio Monitor. Woofer: 5 paper pulp composite cone. Tweeter: 1 Soft Dome. Amplifier Class: Bi-Amped CLASS D. HF Level Adjust: Yes. MF Level Adjust: Yes. System Volume: -23dB to +6dB. Indicators: Power / Standby. Inputs: Balanced TRS, Balanced XLR, Unbalanced RCA. Finish: Black Vinyl Wrap. Port Configuration: Front Firing Slot Port. This item is in the category “Musical Instruments & Gear\Pro Audio Equipment\Speakers”. The seller is “*pitbullaudio*” and is located in this country: US. Quality, Reponsive Customer Service. Fluid Audio FX8 8-Inch Coaxial 2-way Woofer Studio Reference Monitor, Black. Item has been opened and is in the original retail packaging. Packaging may show signs of wear. Item shows virtually no signs of wear. Item has been professionally tested and inspected to ensure complete functionality. In a studio environment, when you put something that tall on a mixing console, it tends to obstruct the view in front of you. Then what ends up happening is you put these huge monoliths on their side (to reduce the height) and speaker imaging gets skewed because the high-frequency energy is bouncing off the surface they’re sitting on. Not to mention, what was the vertical off-axis response is now the horizontal off-axis response, minimizing your sweet spot in the listening position. We solved this by creating a Coaxial 2-way design (or dual concentric), with the tweeter mounted in the center of the woofer. We were always impressed by the Manley Tannoy speakers that used a coax driver – we just wanted to do it less expensively. There are two huge benefits to this. One, you can shrink the cabinet height. As mentioned above, its not optimum to have huge, clumsy speakers on your console and most 2-ways are so tall, that the tweeter is firing over your head anyway, then you have to tilt them down and that notion is kind of scary. The second benefit of the Coaxial design is that you now have all frequencies (bass and midrange from the woofer and high frequencies from the tweeter) radiating from the same point in space. This is huge because suddenly your off-axis response is much more consistent (meaning your sweet spot is bigger and more even) and the speakers response doesn’t change whether they are standing up of laying down. The FX8s also includes all of the great features and benefits of the other Fader Series speakers as well. The amplifier supplies 130 Watts of Class A/B power to each cabinet, and the heat sink and standby circuit allow them to operate conveniently and reliably. The Fader volume control and bass reflex port on the front baffle allow for ease of use and placement. Whether your are mixing music in a professional studio or just your home project studio, the FX8s work perfectly with all types of music. Frequency response: 35 Hz – 22 kHz. Polarity: Positive signal at + input produces outward LF one displacement. Power: 115V 50/60 Hz or 230V50/60 Hz user switchable. Protection: RF interference, output current limiting, over-temperature, turn on/off transient, subsonic filter, external mains fuse. Fluid Audio FPX7 7-Inch Coaxial Ribbon Active Powered Recording Studio Monitor
YOUR BEST SOURCE FOR PRO AUDIO GEAR. Fluid Audio FPX7 7-Inch Coaxial Ribbon Active Powered Recording Studio Monitor. Fader Pro Series Building upon the acclaimed Fader Series of studio monitors, we decided to step things up a bit, and created the one-of-a-kind, FPX7 monitor. With its lightning fast, accurate response, the AMT tweeter provides detail and depth only seen in professional studios. What makes the FPX7 so unique, however, is that the AMT tweeter is mounted in the center of the woofer – in a coaxial configuration, which makes this speaker the first of its kind. Taking what we learned from our success with the FX8, we incorporated the AMT tweeter much in the same way. Coaxial drivers, found in such world renowned monitors such as the Manley ML10 with Tannoy drivers, provide such accuracy and detail because all of the energy from the tweeter and woofer radiate from the exact same position in space. This is critical for accurate off-axis response as well as phase coherence. The AMT tweeter is mounted to a custom designed waveguide, which provides it with wide dispersion and an expansive sweet spot. The complex, DSP controlled crossover provides a perfect blending of the woofer to the AMT tweeter and ensures that there is effectively zero variance amplifier to amplifier. Seamless, transparent response in a compact footprint. 7 composite cone, low-frequency driver. Air motion transformer tweeter provides an extremely fast and accurate response. Bi-amplified 140Watt Class A/B amplification (90w woofer/50w AMT tweeter). Acoustic Space Control lets you calibrate the FPX7 to your mixing environment (0, -2, -4db). Tweeter high frequency trim control (+2, 0, -2db). Fader Volume control on front baffle for easy access. 42Hz – 27kHz frequency response (+/-3dB). Front loaded slot port for directional bass response. Amplifier standby function to conserve energy. Frequency response: 42Hz – 27KHz (+/- 3db). Crossover frequency: 3.5 KHz. Amplifier power: 140 watts RMS. Signal-to-noise: 100dB (typical A-weighted). Polarity: Positive signal at + input produces outward LF one displacement. Fluid Audio FX50 5-Inch Coaxial Active Powered Recording Studio Monitor. At Music Store Live we’re all musicians like you, and we know how hard it can be to afford all the gear that you want and need. We encourage you to make us an offer. Often times, you’ll be pleasantly surprised! We’ll do everything we can to help get that next piece of gear into your hands. At Music Store Live we’re all musicians like you, and we know how hard it can be to afford all the gear that you want and need. We encourage you to make us an offer. Often times, you’ll be pleasantly surprised! We’ll do everything we can to help get that next piece of gear into your hands. Building upon the acclaimed Fader Series of studio monitors, we decided to step things up a bit, and created the one-of-a-kind, FPX7 monitor. Input impedance: 20 k ohms balanced, 10 k ohms unbalanced. Power: Factory programmed for either 100V – 120V – 60Hz, 220 – 230 – 50Hz. Protection: RF interference, output current limiting, over temperature, turn-on/off transient, subsonic filter. Size (single monitor): 12.18.510.5 / 310mm x 216mm x 264mm.
